Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

None of us deserve to be where we are placed; on the throne of God. But we are all there for one reason - God's grace. God loves to use whatever is dragging you down for His glory, turning losers into winners. "He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's; upon them He has set the world." (1 Samuel 2:8)

The truth is, all of us are misfits, and unworthy due to God's awesome holiness, until He reached down and saved us from our wretchedness. The only difference between you and any other great evildoer in your eyes (you're as bad as anyone else, since a sin is still a sin, no matter big nor small), is that God chose to reveal His past so we could benefit from it. Today He chooses to hide yours under His blood so nobody ever need to know the kind of person you really were before His grace transformed you.
