We go through life, meeting with struggles, with trials, hurts, setbacks and failures. None of the Bible heroes had a perfect life - not even the kings.

Yet, when we trust God, coupled together with the right attitude and mindset, God turns things around and turns it for good. When we trust Him, He makes "all things work together for the good."

'Together' has to be with something. It's not just your trust and your faith. It's your perspective of it as well. If we say we trust but be bitter about the outcome, it just won't work out.

How can we maintain the right perspective and stay cheerful and joyful in God when trials and tough times come our way, like Job? We have to focus on God. In Him we'll find joy.

It's the same as how at a party, when disposable cups are not used for your drinks. Your host takes out the different mugs and cups, fills it with the same drink. Unconsciously, everyone reaches for the nicest looking mug or cup. The plain looking ones are left behind. Of course, assuming that the cups and mugs are all of the same capacity.

Why does this happen? All we want is the drink, which is the same all around, but we reach out for the fancier mugs and cups. It's the same in life, when life is the drink, then your jobs, your money, and perhaps, your position in society are the cups or mugs. They are just tools to hold or maintain life, but the quality of life does not change. If we keep concentrating on the mug or cup, we won't have time to enjoy the drink in it.
